a balancing act.

Blogging is a great creative outlet for me and a way to connect to fabulous, like-minded ladies in all walks of life. I look forward to catching up on my favorite reads every morning and I am often inspired by shared photos, quotes, stories, and ideas. But...as all blog readers and writers know, it can be very time-consuming.

It seems a bit counter-productive when I spend hours pouring over pages of photos and stories from other people's lives instead of focusing on my own.
There are even times when I catch myself wishing that I had more "interesting" things to write about after comparing my content to other "bigger" blogs.
I feel like a total slacker when I know that I have spent more time "thinking" about what I want to do than actually doing it...

So I have decided that for the next few days I'm going to take a little break from the media world.
no blogging, no facebook, no mindless tv on in the background...
Just for a few days, to catch up on things around the house and cross a couple more things off my list.

Those curtains ain't sewing themselves.
Those pictures aren't going to hang themselves on the wall.
Dinner sure don't make itself around here.

It's all about restoring balance to my routine and keeping those quiet moments- spent reading or writing or simply sighing over pretty pictures- special.
It's about balancing peace and productivity, communication and connection, work and worship and being fully present in each moment.

~You all stay pretty and have yourselves a fabulous next few days~
be back soon!
