My 10 reasons Why {I love Colorado}

I've been feeling pretty restless lately and with the extra free time I've had during the day, my mind often wanders to thoughts of wanting to move, start somewhere fresh, have a change of scenery, all the reasons why I'm not satisfied with where we are (physically and otherwise) with life right now...

blah blah blah.

So I decided instead of wallowing in negative thoughts and letting discontent get the best of me, I wanted to make a conscious effort to find joy in life as I know it right now, where I am, and where we are currently called to be. So today, in no particular order, I present my first (of potentially many) "10 reasons why" list...

10 reasons why: I love Colorado...

1. Summer concerts & movies at Red Rocks
dispatch, 2011
willie nelson, 2010

2. Microbreweries.
blueberry wheat, vine st. pub
new belgium, fort collins

3. Wet towels dry within hours
(no photo evidence... just trust me. No soggy towels. It's glorious.)

4. Downtown at Christmas

5. Horse country.
estes park, 2010

the horse protection league of colorado

6. All four seasons

7. The Rockies (mountains, not baseball)
vail, 2011

keystone, 2009

8. Summer in the city!
rockies game, coors field

tour de fat, 2010

B.B. King concert, Denver Botanic Gardens

picnics at the park

9. ghost towns and "wild west" history
saint elmo ghost town

leadville, colorado

10. The city skyline at night.

I lived in Colorado for 6 years when I was little, and I can honestly say that I've missed it pretty much everyday since we moved. there really is nowhere else like it - you get that lovely mix of urban and rural outdoorsiness, depending on where you are. plus the whole state is just so darn beautiful!

These photos are wonderful. This makes me want to visit Colorado so badly!! I especially love the courthouse all Christmassy. This is a great idea. I love the positive attitude. I know it's frustrating being stuck in one place for a long time.

<3 thank you girls for all the Colorado love! Sometimes I get so caught up in the day-to-day that I forget to even look up/around and see all the beauty God has created around me here :) I love that so many of you have visited/lived here too, it's truly a magical place!
